The Development and Circulation Committee (DCC) is an advisory committee consisting of citizens-at-large and is established to advise the City Council on proposed developments for their consistency with the City Zoning Code, the General Plan, and acts in an advisory capacity on all matters within City Vehicles and Traffic Code and the Circulation Element of the General Plan.
La Palma’s Community Activities and Beautification Committee (CAB) is a citizen’s advisory committee established to make recommendations to the City Council, and develop and implement community events and City beautification projects.
As a legislative body, the City Council is responsible for the enactment of local laws (ordinances), the adoption of the annual City Budget and Capital Improvement Plan, and the review and adoption of proposed policies, agreements, contracts and other City business items. The City Council also sits as the governing board of the La Palma Planning Commission and the Successor Agency to the La Palma Community Development Commission.
