2018 - Five Years of Progress

At the 2018 State of the City, La Palma's Mayor Gerard Goedhart and the City Council highlighted the past year's achievements, along with future projects and long term financial planning. This event was held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Royal Palm Room of the La Palma Community Center.

2017 - Town Hall Meeting

For the 2017 State of the City, Mayor Michele Steggell kept the format as a Town Hall Meeting, allowing La Palma residents to attend.  The event was held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Royal Palm Room of the La Palma Community Center.

2016 - Town Hall Meeting

For the 2016 State of the City, Mayor Gerard Goedhart changed the format from a luncheon style event to a ‘town hall’ meeting. The event was held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at 7:00 p.m., in the Royal Palm Room of the La Palma Community Center. The new town hall format was well attended by the community.

2015 - Fifty Years of Vision

Mayor Peter Kim delivered the 2015 State of the City address on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, with a focus on “Fifty Years of Vision.” The luncheon, was held at the California Joint Powers Insurance Authority, 8081 Moody Street, La Palma, 90623.

2014 - Building La Palma's Bright Future

On Thursday, April 3, 2014, Mayor Steve Shanahan delivered this year’s State of the City address, with a focus on “Building La Palma’s Bright Future.” The luncheon was held at the California Joint Powers Insurance Authority, 8081 Moody Street, La Palma, 90623.

2013 - Sustaining La Palma’s Vision

On Friday, April 19, 2013, Mayor Steve Hwangbo delivered the 2013 State of the City address with a focus on “Sustaining La Palma’s Vision.” The luncheon, was held inside the Royal Palma Room at the La Palma Community Center and Central Park, 7821 Walker Street, La Palma.

2012 - Focus on the Future

On Wednesday, April 18, 2012, Mayor Henry Charoen delivered the 2012 State of the City address with a “Focus on the Future.” The luncheon was held in the Royal Palm Room at the La Palma Community Center at Central Park, 7821 Walker Street.
