The City Clerk is the local filing officer for all filings and statements required by the Political Reform Act. Per the City’s Conflict of Interest Code, this includes the:
- Campaign contribution and expenditure reports from candidates for:
- City Council
- Controlled committees
- Independent expenditure committees
- Statements of Economic Interest from:
- Current City officials
- City officers
- Designated employees
Public Official Appointments
As the City’s local filing officer, the City Clerk is required to report additional compensation that officials receive when appointing themselves to positions on committees, board, or commissions of another public agency or joint powers agency or authority. This report, Form 806, lists all the paid appointed positions to which an official will vote to appoint themselves in a twelve-month period.
