Volunteens is a Recreation summer work program for ages 13-17.  The Volunteen mission is to provide a safe summer day camp to campers of different age groups, interests, and backgrounds. The program was created to cultivate leadership, encourage career or volunteer exploration, develop new and lasting friendships, work in groups, and work on attainable goals. At the end of the summer, Volunteens become more resilient, confident, and may desire to return to the program, become Senior Recreation Leaders, and/or use this experience toward any future endeavor. Applications for summer 2024 available February 2024.

The Youth Action Committee (YAC) works in conjunction with the City of Cypress, La Palma, and outside groups for the benefit of each community.
