La Palma celebrates its diverse heritage with the annual La Palma Days celebration!

On Saturday, November 14, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., the La Palma Days Parade and prestigious Band Review will once again feature over 200 units including junior and senior high school bands, JROTC units, veterans, military entries, celebrities, dignitaries, elected officials, local schools, clubs and organizations, businesses, the Orange County Fire Authority, and others - all parading down Walker Street, from Houston to La Palma Avenue.  

Again, La Palma Days hopes to be designated as the "Official Veteran's Day Parade of Orange County" by proclamation from the Orange County Board of Supervisors.

A variety of activities for preschoolers to adults will be featured at La Palma Days 2015. Everyone will enjoy the festival while supporting local organizations at the same time.

Discount tickets may be available for children who submit our La Palma Days coloring sheet!  Coloring Sheets will be available beginning October 19th either by download here or you can pick one up in the Community Services office.

The La Palma Days Community Festival features over 30 vendors.  Everyone enjoys a wide variety of tasty cuisine by sampling foods from around the world. Patrons support both commercial and local nonprofit organizations as they work towards their goal of providing ongoing services to our community.  To apply to be a vendor please complete the application and business license application.  All applications will be accepted starting September 14, 2015.

La Palma's 2015-16 Ambassador

This Ambassador Program is available for those who live, go to school, or work in La Palma and are a senior in high school or between the ages of 17 and 21.  Applications are available now and are due at the first Orientation Meeting for all candidates on Tuesday, September 15th at 6:00 p.m..  Candidates will develop leadership skills, gain professional development, earn community service hours, prepare a personal portfolio, and meet community and business leaders.  The 7-week Ambassador Program will culminate with each candidate delivering a speech and participating in a formal interview. 

The 2015-16 La Palma Ambassador will be announced at the November 3rd City Council Meeting and presented to the public at the 31st Annual La Palma Days Parade on Saturday, November 14th.  As the newly selected Ambassador, he or she will attend Business Grand Openings, City functions and Community Events representing the City of La Palma throughout the coming year. 

Four contestants sought the coveted title of La Palma Ambassador in 2014. La Palma Ambassador, Maddie Thompson, and Michelle Glasell, Kari Kessinger and Shelby Rogers all  serve as the Ambassadors of the City of La Palma for 2015.
