The Public Works Department has responsibility for the operation and maintenance of water and sewer service; water quality; and maintenance of streets, buildings, facilities, parks, open space in the Edison Right of Way, and 7-year Residential Street Rehabilitation Program.

The Department has earned a number of awards including several American Public Works Association (APWA) Awards for Project of the Year and in recognition of the Department’s National Public Works Week activities and events. The Department provides services to the community through its Engineering, Administration, Water and Maintenance Divisions.
